• A different alternative for communication (versus email)
• Great for brainstorming ideas with others
• Great for networking

CONS

• Difficult to communicate in 140 characters
• Snarkiness and sarcasm when not necessary
• Potential inhibitor of interpersonal communication
  
• Stress and creating a feeling that one is unable to step away from technology
  
• Everyone can feel like an “expert” even if they don't know what they're talking about... (Dunning-Kruger Effect)
